Gannett Co., Inc. is seeking to build next-generation web apps and platforms using cutting-edge technologies, specifically focusing on developing platforms for cutting-edge ad experiences and supporting the existing national digital advertisement infrastructure.
Requirements
- Excellent skills in the latest JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS standards
- Strong skills in Golang, Node.js, and PHP
- Web UI/UX design Implementation
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Web Ad Tech experience: Google Ad Manager, Prebid, etc.
- Docker, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, DataStudio, Kubernetes) or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge with one or more Internet ad management or targeted marketing applications (e.g., Google Ad Manager, 24/7 Real Media, OAS, FreeWheel)
Responsibilities
- Development, testing, release, and support of Gannett advertising web frameworks, apps, and services
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with product roadmap and revenue goals
- Perform code reviews and recommend improvements
- Maintain awareness of technology developments that affect either our audience’s ability to use our products or extend new product potential
- Proactively innovate, collaborate, and contribute ideas
- supporting the existing national digital advertisement infrastructure
- working closely with product managers and designers to turn concepts into revenue-generating products

- 10+ years of software development experience
- Ability to work in a team to solve complex problems
- Ability to quickly pivot and handle essential tasks as assigned
- Passionate about solving problems for users, advertisers, and publishers
- Prior experience in media or related industry is desirable
