Enlighten is seeking a DevOps Engineer to implement infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and ensure the reliability and scalability of their services, particularly within Big Data solutions and cloud-based environments.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting
- Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet
- Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure
- Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management
- Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
- Familiarity with Git and other development tools
- Experience with containers EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform are a plus
Responsibilities
- Build, design, implement, and refine cloud architecture while providing prescriptive guidance across the network and security
- Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment
- Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Act as the primary escalation point for tier 3 operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure
- Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance
Other
- Security Clearance – A current Top Secret (TS/SCI) U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (i.e. Security+)
- Must be able to work on-site at least 4-5 days per week at the customer site in Fort Meade, MD
- Must be able to travel CONUS up to 20% of the time
- Work is performed on customer site (on average 4-5 days a week) with a great team. Some travel is expected as well.
