Zoom Communication, Inc. is looking to solve operational challenges related to managing large-scale data systems like Elasticsearch and Kafka, aiming to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of their platform through robust operations and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must have 2 years of experience in Jenkins, including but not limited to the automation of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes
- Must have 2 years of experience in AWS cloud services, capable of designing, deploying, and managing highly available and scalable cloud infrastructures
- Must have 2 years of experience in using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including code management and automation deployment
- Must have 2 years of experience in Elasticsearch, including architecture, maintenance, and optimization of search systems
- Must have 2 years of experience in working in a high concurrency, high availability environment
- Must have 2 years of experience in containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the self-hosted Elasticsearch (ES) service for the Zoom Platform, ensuring high availability and performance optimization
- Operate, and maintain an in-house monitoring system to proactively identify and resolve system and application issues
- Develop, test, and implement the Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline for deployment automation, enhancing operational efficiency and reliability
- Manage deployment and continuous monitoring of the async search platform, ensuring scalability and responsiveness to meet business requirements
- Assess and integrate security measures within the deployment process, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, design, and implement infrastructure improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Gain an in-depth understanding of ES or Kafka management features, and collaborate with the development department on architecture and functional requirements to create an operations platform that meets business needs
