ENSCO Inc is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Air Force Military Satellite Communications.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Ability to design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure)
  • Proficiency in maintaining CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Ability to help with release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS)
  • Strong knowledge of Helm charts for deployment of Docker-based microservices
  • Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack
  • Experience with microservices architecture

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance Helm charts for deployment of Docker-based microservices
  • Help with release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS, Azure AKS)
  • Help with vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response automation.
  • Work with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security testing.
  • Deploy DevOps practices for automating the software engineering practices across multiple projects.
  • Ensure we have solid, foundational processes in place.
  • Stand up agile development teams and will oversee the instantiation of DevOps pipelines in both on-prem and cloud environments.

Other

  • The candidate will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
  • The candidate will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USAF.
  • The candidate will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.
