OpenSesame is seeking to improve the scalability, security, and performance of its eLearning platform by hiring a DevOps Engineer with a strong security mindset.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms
- Experience with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform)
- Knowledge of AWS, security best practices, and DevOps principles
- Experience with automation tooling, scripting, and programming languages (e.g. Python, PHP, Go, C)
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g. Docker) and orchestration tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Github Actions)
- Knowledge of Chef and Drupal 7/Angular marketplace
Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable, secure systems primarily on AWS, leveraging IaC to ensure high performance and resilience
- Streamline and embed security best practices into the platform architecture and automation tooling
- Enable developers to move faster and more safely through automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Lead infrastructure initiatives, improve developer experience, and serve as a key technical resource across teams
- Mentor engineers on DevOps principles including security by design, observability, and infrastructure automation
- Improve team processes through agile ceremonies, retrospectives, and discussions
- Evaluate and adopt modern technologies to replace outdated or problematic components
