Requirements
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- 5+ years experience applying AI and machine learning techniques to economic problems.

Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct cutting-edge economic research using AI and machine learning techniques.
- Analyze complex datasets to generate insights and inform policy recommendations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to harness AI for addressing global economic challenges.
- Manage the program's research agenda, workshops, and publication efforts
- Provide guidance on the economic implications of AI technologies.
- Represent Microsoft as a thought leader in the field of AI and economics.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of economists and data scientists.
