Mirum Pharmaceuticals is seeking to transform the treatment of rare diseases by advancing scientific discoveries and is looking for a Senior Director of Enterprise Data Architecture, Engineering, and Operations to lead and evolve their data strategy
Requirements
- Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Deep understanding of data governance, MDM, and integration best practices
- Experience supporting commercial operations (Salesforce, field analytics, MAP/HUB integrations)
- Familiarity with HRIS and G&A data integrations
- Demonstrated leadership in enterprise-scale transformation or platform modernization
- Proven success leading complex, multi-system data environments in life sciences or regulated industries
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, and G&A domains
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures for structured and unstructured data
- Oversee the development of robust pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and curation across internal and external sources
- Champion the adoption of modern data engineering technologies (e.g., ELT/ETL tools, APIs, event streaming) and DevOps/CI-CD practices
- Manage the integration of clinical, commercial, financial, and operational systems with enterprise data platforms
- Lead the operational support and service delivery for enterprise data platforms, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability
- Implement data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management to support discoverability and traceability
Other
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data architects, engineers, and platform operations staff
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts related to data platforms, managed services, and system integrators
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred
- 12+ years in enterprise data engineering or architecture roles, including 5+ years leading teams
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment
