Marriott is seeking to lead the global strategy and execution of Enterprise Observability and Technology Resiliency & Recoverability across its global technology landscape to improve visibility, prevent outages, and ensure recoverability.
Requirements
- 10+ years in technical leadership, engineering, and operations
- Deep experience in: Multi-cloud observability and logging infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Alibaba)
- Deep experience in: Modern DR strategies with automated failover/failback architecture
- Deep experience in: SRE and DevOps principles, monitoring frameworks, and root cause diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Grail, and integration platforms such as Harness, ServiceNow, and BigPanda
- Agile or Kanban delivery expertise in global, fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive vision for observability, infrastructure resiliency, and disaster recovery at enterprise scale
- Lead engineering and architecture functions for cross-functional teams across observability and resiliency domains
- Design and champion enterprise-wide standards, tooling, and frameworks to improve visibility, prevent outages, and ensure recoverability
- Architect and operationalize observability solutions across AWS, Azure, Alibaba, and hybrid cloud workloads
- Design and scale enterprise observability strategy including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting across hundreds of workloads
- Lead implementation of platforms like Dynatrace, Grail, Splunk Cloud, Cribl, ThousandEyes, and more
- Implement robust, cloud-native strategies for workload resiliency and recoverability
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven ability to navigate financial and organizational constraints to deliver impactful results
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences
- Background in digital transformation, consulting, or enterprise modernization
