Onbe, a FinTech company, is looking to solve the business and technical problem of transforming the way payments are imagined by bringing innovation to a rapidly growing global marketplace. The Senior Director of Software Development will provide leadership and technical expertise to drive innovation and technical vision within the Technology Department.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and design.
- Strong experience in digital transformation converting monolithic into microservice architectures in medium to large scale organization
- Strong experience and passion for utilizing AI in every aspect of SDLC to improve the velocity & quality of development.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership across multiple software development teams.
- Establish and implement software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure robust and reliable software solutions.
- Define and complete the software development strategy in alignment with Onbe's goals.
- Pursue constant improvement & transformation in architecture & availability of the platform.
- Lead engineering goals towards improving velocity & quality with AI transformation
- Manage a team of skilled leaders, lead all aspects of software projects, and play a major role in the department's technical vision and direction.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering leaders and managers to grow technical and leadership capabilities within the organization.

- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and provide a high level of attention to detail.
- This is a hybrid role that will work onsite 2 days per week at our Buffalo Grove, IL office.
- Occasional travel may be required as part of this position.
