The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Lab Test Engineer to characterize and validate performance of designs to requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
Requirements
- Experience with operation of electrical test equipment such as digitizing oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, EMI receivers, low noise amplifiers, signal generators, multimeters, etc.
- Experience with EMI/EMC analysis and testing
- Experience with MIL-STD-461 lab and/or MIL-STD-464 aircraft qualification testing
- Experience with Shielding Effectiveness testing
- Experience or coursework in Radio Frequency (RF) Theory
Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of testing, including the writing of test procedures, data collection, report generation, and program status presentations
- Support products throughout their lifecycle by gathering project status data and utilizing project management best practices to manage multiple projects through varying stages of completion
- Gather information to support proposals and new business development efforts
- Apply engineering knowledge to continuously improve processes and tools
- Work under consultative guidance with other senior engineering staff
Other
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- Willing & able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
