The Boeing Company is looking to solve the business and technical problem of developing and testing electronic and electrical system requirements for Fighters programs, including F/A-18, EA-18G, F-15, and F-22 production tactical fighter aircraft ongoing major upgrades.
Requirements
- Experience in Open Mission Systems (OMS) development
- Experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) development
- Experience with system design and development, including component interactions, interfaces, and overall system functionality.
- Experience with requirements development and management, including technical performance specification and statement of work development.
- Familiarity with Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) message standard and Common Abstraction Layer (CAL)
- Experience with hardware design and development, encompassing all phases of the product lifecycle from initial design to flight maturity.
- Experience with Open Architecture Standards: Familiarity with standards like SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture), which leverages VPX standards.
Responsibilities
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain avionics architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for system level architecture, system-specific issues, and processes
- Leads the engineering team in implementation of Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes
- Works with specialty engineering teams to decompose requirements to the Mission Computer to ensure performance, safety critical, and environmental requirements are understood and implemented.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate execution of ongoing hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Works with customers and aircrew to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Receives customer requests and analyzes them with consideration for contractual and technical impacts and translates into actionable system requirements
Other
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
