The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support the Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) organization in developing Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience with C, C++, C, Python, Java, or Ada
- Experience with programming language VHDL
- Experience with embedded systems architecture, design, and debugging
- Experience with missile defense sensor algorithms or algorithms for digital signal processing
- Experience with sensor systems for complex conversion of analog and waveform data
- Experience with optical or electromagnetic (RF - radio frequency) sensing systems
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices
Responsibilities
- Develop and field embedded flight software for IAMD systems
- Develop firmware and integrate with hardware/software
- Develop and test algorithms for enhanced software capabilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
- Advise engineering leadership and program management regarding technical and strategic direction
- Lead small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills
- Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs
Other
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance post-start
- Less than 10% travel required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics or related field (preferred)
- Experience leading software development teams (preferred)
- U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance
