Philips is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to create innovative embedded software solutions for their Sleep & Respiratory Care products through all phases of application development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in developing embedded software
- knowledge and experience developing software and leading teams in an Agile environment
- understanding of embedded architecture and system design including core concepts for Real-time Operating Systems, interrupt service routines, and device drivers.
- proven knowledge of current software engineering principles and design patterns
- can demonstrate understanding of structured and object-oriented design methods
- knowledge of software development methodologies including incremental, iterative, and agile techniques
- knowledge and experience in component specification, design, and unit/integration test.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review high-quality embedded software while adhering to applicable quality standards.
- Provide feedback into design, coding practices, and testing throughout the application lifecycle.
- Lead or report to a scaled agile team, supporting feature scope and defect resolution during all product lifecycle phases.
- Support team member development by offering effective feedback for continuous growth.
- Identify opportunities for improvement by proposing solutions that enhance quality, reduce costs, and minimize complexity.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, offering guidance and oversight to engineers and technicians to ensure successful software development activities.
