Honeywell is looking to develop and implement advanced software solutions for cutting-edge Avionics technologies, specifically for products like EGPWS, ROAAS, and FMS Datalink, to enhance aviation safety, efficiency, and connectivity.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, etc
- Experienced in embedded software development and familiarity with real-time operating system (RTOS) environments.
- Experience in developing software for aerospace, communications, autonomous and/or safety-critical systems is of value.
- Familiarity with real-time systems and embedded software development
- Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git / Bitbucket.
- Understanding of DOORS or similar requirements management system.
- Strong knowledge of Software lifecycle and Certification aspects of SW components.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for advanced Avionics products, notably our EGPWS, ROAAS and/or FMS Datalink solutions
- Develop, optimize and implement robust, high-quality software solutions for Avionics systems, ensuring software meets all functional and performance requirements.
- Write efficient, maintainable code in programming languages like C/C++
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with existing systems.
- Deliver robust, high-quality software solutions
- Decompose high-level systems requirements into low-level software requirements
- Create, maintain and qualify software development and verification tools.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
