GEICO is seeking an experienced Engineer to help drive the insurance business transformation as the company transitions from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission.
Requirements
Extensive hands-on experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, and JamF (Ivanti is a plus)
Moderate to advanced understanding of Active Directory (both on-prem and Azure AD) and enterprise level networks
Demonstrated experience in PowerBI
Experience in the maintenance of virtual workstation platforms such as Citrix, VDI, and AVD (Azure Subscriptions are desired)
Experience with management of security compliance configurations (GPOs and CSPs)
Strong PowerShell and/or Python scripting skills
Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, Python, PowerShell, or C including object-oriented design
Responsibilities
Research & develop remediation solutions for discovered vulnerabilities and then systematically distribute them
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
Build product definitions and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solution
Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle
Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective
Utilize programming languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services
Other
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
4+ years of engineering experience on MDM platforms that support both Windows and Mac devices
3+ years of experience with architecture and design
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
Ability to effectively communicate with various audiences (leadership, highly technical, and non-technical business partners)
