Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Computer literate; MS Word, Power Point, Excel, FEA, 2D/3D CAD (CATIA experience a plus)
- Experience with product development: Design, DFM, root cause analysis, test instrumentation and data acquisition and analysis
- Quality - use of statistical tools, process capability, DOE's, stack-ups
- Coordination of internal and external resources
- Accountable for managing the design process and owning the results
Responsibilities
- Carry out the design process to achieve quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives
- Perform hands-on concept development, prototyping, product testing, data collection, and definition of product specifications
- Independently carry out advanced stack-ups and system analysis to ensure product assembly and functionality remain consistent throughout its lifetime
- Investigate design issues and test failures, and effectively identify, recommend, and implement corrective actions to components
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and clearly define customer requirements, and translate those requirements into appropriate product specifications and develop test systems
- Meet with suppliers, project stakeholders to review designs and alter as needed

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience
