Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products and services consistently meet the highest standards of quality, prevent quality issues, minimize costs associated with defects, and drive continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Two years of experience working with suppliers on corrective actions and quality improvements.
- Experience managing quality escape investigations.
- Experience working within the SAP Quality Module
- MRO Experience
Responsibilities
- Supplier Quality Control through engagement in FAI; conformance inspection plans/methods/equipment; and driving corrective actions to prevent repeat rejections.
- Supplier Quality Assurance through: Developing and implementing proactive quality strategies, Contract review/flow down, Supplier performance reviews and improvement
- Identifies and mitigates new repair risks utilizing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) tools.
- Conducts process reviews to identified opportunities to prevent defects.
- Manages supplier scorecard program
- Internal and external audits to identify opportunities to improve compliance to AS 9100 series standards
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects to improve first pass yield and reduce costs of poor quality

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
