Collins Aerospace is looking to solve the problem of designing and implementing build procedures, control and diagnostic systems, and ensuring compliance to specifications and customer guarantees in the aerospace technology field.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with programming in Python in a professional software engineering environment.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a Linux development environment, including system-level debugging and scripting.
- At least 2 years of experience with real-time or streaming data systems, including integration with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud services, including deployment, monitoring, or scaling of backend systems.
- Experience with software engineering principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
- Design, develop, document, test and design control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
- Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions.
- Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
- Ensure novel ideas and implementation are captured and protected using applications IP processes and tools.
Other
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid role, with 4 days per week on-site and 1 day per week remote.
- Must be willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
