Crisis Text Line needs an exceptional engineering leader to help develop the next generation of mental health technology, shaping how services are built, deployed, and maintained to deliver crisis support across the globe.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with software development supporting production systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in people management and/or supervision/team leadership role
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams
- Experience with system architecture
- Experience with service migration
- Experience with developer experience
- Experience with Go services deployed on AWS
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of a scalable application architecture utilizing engineering best practices around observability and testing
- Lead the migration strategy from systems to Go services deployed on AWS while ensuring business continuity
- Create and maintain technical roadmaps that align with organizational goals and user needs
- Establish engineering standards and best practices across teams to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams focused on platform infrastructure
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation
- Mentor and develop engineers to grow their technical and leadership capabilities
