Nerdy is looking for an innovative and AI-native Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Tutor Growth and Incentive team. The goal is to support tutor retention and engagement initiatives by driving the right tutor behaviors and best-in-class face-to-face tutoring experience.
Requirements
- At-scale technical architecture - you've designed and built complex yet performant systems.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development tools.
- Experienced with AI-native tools that enhance productivity and speed (Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc).
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the operation and innovation of the technology platform helping thousands of students be the best they can be.
- Provide direction and oversight on technical architectures and systems design.
- Support our engineering staff's daily feeding and care: championing objectives, monitoring progress, and removing blockers.
- Continually monitor, improve and optimize your teams' performance - the humans on your team and the systems they've created.
- Above all, you inspire, mentor and advocate for the engineers entrusted to your care so they can reach their full potential.
