Atlassian is looking to hire a Senior Engineering Manager for Bitbucket Cloud to help lead their growing engineering team. The role will focus on operating and scaling the systems that enable millions of developers to build software using Bitbucket Cloud, with a specific emphasis on improving the developer experience through next-generation search, code navigation, and leveraging AI search platforms.

Responsibilities
- Help hone the technical strategy and lead execution of our developer experience
- working with teams to build next generation search and code navigation
- leverage Rovo (Atlassian’s new AI search and agent platform)
- Own the delivery of critical projects in a high traffic environment, ensuring they are completed on time and meet quality standards
- Provide technical leadership and make strategic decisions to improve Bitbucket Cloud systems
- Hold a high bar for product quality and service reliability

- Manage and mentor a distributed team of engineers (US-based), fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Build an open, trusting, operationally mature culture.
- Be the engineering voice in our quarterly planning process.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other departments to develop new features that improve developer experience.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to help team members grow professionally.
- Participate in hiring planning and other budgeting exercises
- 5+ years of managing software engineering teams, with a strong background in software engineering.
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring engineers, with experience in recruiting and hiring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
