Moveworks is looking to solve the problem of building and operating reliable and resilient platforms and frameworks that enable multiple products and engineering teams to build customer-facing capabilities rapidly as the company grows fast.
Requirements
- Hands on technical leader with a strong sense of ownership - proactively leading complex platform initiatives from conception through delivery and operations.
- Familiarity with Python/Golang/Java/C++.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP.
- Experience working with and operating technologies like Kafka, Opensearch, Redis, Postgres, Temporal etc. at scale.
- Experience with building ML products is plus.
- Experience solving for performance, optimization, scalability, latency, and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and evolve core platform building blocks and frameworks with focus on developer productivity, reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
- Closely work with machine learning, search, product, data, and frontend teams, understand their platform needs, influence roadmap, lead and execute on various projects.
- Architect and build out the core platforms such as content ingestion platform, crawler framework, permissions enforcement platform, identity platform, content retrieval platform etc.
- Define methodologies and metrics to measure performance of core services, identify and fix bottlenecks, as well as improve overall performance and scalability of Moveworks stack.
- Hire and mentor engineers in the team and foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Other
- BS+ in computer science or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization and translate complex product needs into clear platform abstractions.
- Desire to work at a startup pace in a small company with a high degree of ownership.
- High level of curiosity about engineering outside of your immediate discipline and an incessant desire to learn.
- 3+ years of experience growing and managing team with 5+ engineers including senior engineers.
