Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the development of new simulation systems and products for the US Department of Defense training systems.
Requirements
- Must have a hardware development background.
- Must have experience with performing bid and pursuit efforts.
- Must be able to show experience in leading a team.
- Familiarity with systems and hardware engineering processes and requirements and design capture tools including ALM, Jama, SolidWorks, AutoCad, and Subversion is desirable.
- Experience in simulation systems development, verification/validation, and interfaces would be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge from system level hardware design
Responsibilities
- leadership and management of hardware development activities through the entire engineering lifecycle
- Bid & Proposal, Baseline, and Requirements
- Initial design and concept
- Creation of Bills of Materials and Drawings
- Working with Operations to define build plans and support needs
- Hardware design, development, and integration
- Customer acceptance test, installation, and certification

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required
- This position may require occasional travel both domestically and internationally.
- Candidate must be well organized and able to communicate effectively with engineering, leadership, and customers.
