Medtronic is looking to advance its expertise in metal processing, specifically transforming raw nitinol tubing into life-changing self-expanding stents, by investing in automation and process improvements for their Stent Fabrication team.
Requirements
- Experience with supporting and/or deploying automation and automated processes.
- Experience with leading teams through automated process development - process characterization, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ and PQ phase gates.
- Proven judgment in assessing risks and communicating complex technical challenges to upper management.
- Experience with post processing of nitinol (expansion, heat set, electropolish, machine vision, etc.)
- Experience with DMAIC problem solving.
- Medical device manufacturing or equivalent regulated industry experience.
- Practical knowledge of statistical techniques and software (e.g., Minitab)
Responsibilities
- May develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
- Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies, processes and equipment utilized in production.
- Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products.
- Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to implementation.
- Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
- Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of sustaining engineering.
- Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
