The Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) Software Engineering department seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of software development engineers responsible for providing aviators and crew with the highest fidelity training solutions for the missions that they perform, impacting both domestic and international governments.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering development process from bids and proposals through verification and validation.
- Strong technical leadership of small to medium engineering teams.
- Resource planning experience including staff, facilities, and equipment needed for successful project execution.
- Development background in Microsoft Windows Visual Studio C/C++/C-Sharp, Python & Matlab Simulink.
- Experience and working knowledge of capture process and proposal development.
- Strong acumen for earned value management. Cost account management experience preferred.
- Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development process.
Responsibilities
- Head a team responsible for software development, testing, releases & delivery.
- Hold the team accountable for meeting planned program milestones and activities.
- Assess employee’s skills and identify training and development needs for the team.
- Establish a strong team through recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and assimilation of new hires.
- Interact with program management ensuring the scope is managed and staffing plans are achievable.
- Actively manage staff loading ensuring firm and anticipated demand is accurate and appropriate staff levels are allocated.
- Assist in tactical implementation of organization’s strategic goals.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must have an Active and transferable Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
