The Swift Group is looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade web applications leveraging cloud platforms and open-source technologies.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in enterprise-scale web applications architecture and strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
- Experience with UI Frameworks like Angular, Node.js, TypeORM and Containers & Orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines: Git, Jenkins, Terraform and extensive experience in unit and functional testing using automated tools
- Strong understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, SSO, encryption)
- Experience in designing, coding, and debugging web applications
- Skilled in designing and developing application layouts, user interfaces, and interactive web databases
Responsibilities
- Define and govern the overall enterprise architecture for web-based applications by adoption of cloud-native and open-source solutions
- Establish standards, patterns, and best practices for solution architecture
- Lead the design of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems and ensure that the cloud architecture supports scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
- Evaluate and recommend open-source frameworks, libraries, and platforms and partner with Customer SMEs, Swift Group engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions align with requirements
- Mentor and guide the engineering and development teams in adopting industry standard cloud-native architectures and open-source tools
Other
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in architecture leadership roles
- Experience working across matrixed teams
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
