Boeing is seeking to develop and maintain parametric cost models and provide rapid, reliable cost estimates across projects and programs to support early-phase decision-making for the next generation of commercial technologies and airplanes.
Requirements
- Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
- Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness
- Significant experience developing and owning product-level business cases/cashflow models
- Expert in developing and applying risk analysis techniques
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain parametric cost models and estimating tools to support concept and preliminary design phases
- Produce timely, defensible high-level cost estimates using parametric, analogous, and statistical methods
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance to collect data inputs, verify assumptions, and refine models
- Lead/oversee development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through design
- Lead/oversee and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
- Lead complex ad hoc financial analysis to generate business insights for decision-makers
- Train and mentor team members on creating and using data-driven estimates
Other
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in a business-related role
- 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in multifaceted engagements with teams across multiple functions
