ASUS OPBG is looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer (Sr. FAE) to support customers, solve complex technical problems, and drive successful design wins for their server products.
Requirements
- Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining server platform (rackmount, blade, tower), motherboards, CPU, (Intel Xeon, and AMD EPYC) and Memory, storage (SATA/NVMe), networking (10/25/100GbE).
- Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware and software interaction.
- Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture, familiarity with Firmware, Linux, BIOS, BMC, Windows and virtualization platforms.
- Strong background in x86-based server architecture with expertise in system design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with hardware systems, including installation, configuration, and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with firmware, BIOS, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and troubleshooting efforts for complex customer issues.
- Ability to work as highly technical problem solver, understand system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.
- Gathering business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of ASUS products.
- Leading training and education efforts on ASUS and market technology, focused on customer needs and requirements.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for peers by sharing best practices and supporting complex issue escalations.
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes, documentation, and technical resources.
- Provides technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of such solutions.
Other
- Collaboration, Working with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to initialize or support ASUS OPBG products.
- Attention to detail is a must for projects, which may include many moving parts in the equation.
- Attend industry related trade show and joint customer meeting.
- Travel is required, and this may involve on-site customer visits, troubleshoots or trade show.
- Up to 20% travel (US region), this may involve on-site customer visits to troubleshoot or trade shows.
