Toyota Research Institute (TRI) is aiming to make general-purpose robots a reality, capable of assisting with household chores, aiding the elderly, and enabling people to spend more time on enjoyable activities. This requires robots that can operate reliably in complex, unstructured environments and learn general-purpose robot behaviors from large-scale datasets of physical interaction.
