FinOps Governance team is looking to solve the problem of financially optimizing AI initiatives and ensuring they are aligned with strategic goals at the Global Cloud Services organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python (R, or similar) for data manipulation, analysis and automation.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Familiarity with modern AI technologies and their enterprise applications.
- Experience in data modeling and working with time-series data.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Background in financial analysis, preferably in the technology or AI sector.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or public cloud certification.
Responsibilities
- Track AI usage trends and analyze data to uncover inefficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build automations to streamline cost and usage analysis, as well as forecasting.
- Turn data into actionable insights by managing and optimizing data retrieval, administration, and automation.
- Maintain accurate, centralized repositories to ensure consistent reporting and analytics.
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes for AI initiatives.
- Leverage in-house models to forecast multiple scenarios for AI project costs and benefits.
- Stay current on cloud and AI pricing models, market trends, and industry benchmarks to inform cost optimization strategies.
Other
- 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with without experience in science, statistics, finance, business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a FinOps or cloud financial management role.
