The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is seeking an experienced software/firmware engineer to modify existing firmware and create new firmware for real-time systems, specifically for the C4I Prototype program.
Requirements
- Proven experience in all phases of Firmware/Software Engineering including requirements, design, code, test and integration
- Experience with VHDL, C++, and Linux
- Knowledge of or experience with UML and object-oriented design
- Real-time firmware/software development experience
- Experience with Vivado Design Suite and Petalinux
- Experience with Zynq UltraScale+, MPSoC, or RFSoC
- Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum
Responsibilities
- Support all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, software development, integration and test, documentation, and maintenance, for complex software system/applications.
- Development of software architectures to support migration of timing-critical applications to new hardware configurations
- Creating, modifying, and debugging firmware solutions across a range of host hardware
- Software implementation and unit testing to meet customer objectives
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline support
- Mentoring of junior engineers

- Requires BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
