Teal Media is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to transform creative ideas into responsive, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences, ensuring every site reflects the company's creativity, care, and values.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience developing complex front-end HTML code and a willingness to walk us through code that you yourself have written
- 5+ years of front-end coding experience
- Experience creating front-end HTML5, CSS, and Javascript (jQuery/ES6) code with working examples
- Very comfortable with coding ‘from scratch’ as well as light use of existing frameworks
- Strong understanding of the website design and development process, including working knowledge of git, mobile responsive design, and accessibility standards
Responsibilities
- Lead front-end development for web-based projects and ongoing client support, owning delivery from design handoff through production.
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality custom WordPress (and Drupal, as needed) themes, templates, and components; customize plugins and integrate third-party APIs.
- Build and launch complex microsites, landing pages, interactive features, and prototypes for client review and testing.
- Translate UX/UI designs into responsive, accessible, performant front-end code, ensuring design fidelity and technical feasibility.
- Partner closely with the CTO to review deliverables, align on technical direction, and ensure work meets requirements before client delivery.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and project leads to create seamless, high-quality digital experiences.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, conduct code reviews, and help enforce front-end best practices and coding standards.
