Bezos Academy is looking to solve the problem of creating inspiring educational technology for kids and teachers, and to scale their Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities.
Requirements
- Eight years of professional software engineering experience, including three or more years of experience developing mobile and web applications
- Experience developing applications for portable devices (e.g., mobile phones, tablets and iPads, and laptops)
- Experience with web or mobile test automation
- Two or more years of experience with Flutter
- Familiarity with handling personally identifiable information (PII)
- Technical knowledge of REST APIs and data caching patterns
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD
Responsibilities
- Analyzing product requirements
- Contributing to system and software designs
- Developing client applications that integrate with back-end services
- Operating end-to-end applications that cultivate the playful curiosity of young children and their teachers
- Collaborating closely with other engineers and product management and data teams
- Developing and operating new web and mobile applications utilizing Flutter
- Delivering web and mobile solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and solve human problems
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Strong collaboration skills with product management and UX teams
- Proven ability to lead projects involving multiple engineers
- Passion for building high quality applications on behalf of end users
