The partner company is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer (React) to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable front-end applications that deliver engaging experiences to millions of users in Massachusetts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience building production web applications with React or another major JS framework
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), DOM fundamentals, and React principles (hooks, composition, lifecycle)
- Experience with asynchronous UI patterns, RESTful APIs, and modern authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT)
- Familiarity with front-end tooling (Vite, Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn/pnpm) and Git-based workflows (branching, PRs, CI/CD)
- Practical experience using AI-powered development tools and validating generated code for correctness and security
- Strong HTML, CSS/SCSS, and responsive design skills; familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG/ARIA)
- Experience with testing practices and tools (unit, integration, E2E) to ensure robust and reliable applications
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and ship high-quality React-based front-end features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Translate designs, wireframes, and product requirements into accessible, performant, and responsive UI components
- Own UI architecture decisions, including component design, state management, data fetching patterns, and abstractions
- Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews while mentoring peers on best practices
- Debug, triage, and resolve issues across browsers and devices in partnership with QA and product teams
- Optimize front-end performance for scalability, including rendering efficiency, Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and caching strategies
- Define and implement AI-assisted engineering best practices, using tools like Cursor responsibly to accelerate development without compromising code quality
