Citi, a global bank, needs to develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs to enhance its financial products and services, improve customer experiences, and ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of its platforms.
Requirements
- Proficiency in languages commonly used in embedded systems or financial applications (e.g., C++, Java) for low-level interaction, alongside modern web development languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go) for back-end services, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) for administrative dashboards.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and potentially NoSQL databases for logging and telemetry data.
- Experience with operating systems commonly used in ATMs (e.g., Windows Embedded, Linux distributions) and understanding of their security configurations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S) and financial transaction protocols (e.g., ISO 8583).
- In-depth knowledge of secure coding practices, cryptography, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OSE) for back-end infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for modern deployment strategies.
- Implement and maintain high-level security measures including encryption (e.g., Triple DES, AES), tokenization, secure boot processes, intrusion detection, and compliance with industry standards like PCI DSS.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team
- Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities
- Resolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
