DebtBook is looking for a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Back End skills to work on a user-facing software application with a complex data model, where some users have large data sets. The engineer needs to ensure the application runs well with large amounts of data, monitor application performance, fix performance problems, and mentor others.
Requirements
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and PostgreSQL or similar tools
- Experience writing tests
- SQL database design and querying
- Full-stack code
- FE, BE, and SQL schema design
Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the SDLC: solution shaping, system design, ticket writing/breakdown, write full-stack code, review code, perform deployments, participate in monitoring, and gather data for reporting.
- Own the quality of your work.
- Write tests and work with your team to ensure everything works before merging and releasing.
- Work cross-functionally on your team to ensure work is scoped to deliver quickly and deliver the right functionality.
- Write code that will run well with large amounts of data.
- Understand how to monitor application performance.
- Fix performance problems.
