Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to reduce mainframe dependency and build cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot development
- Strong understanding of OOP principles, collections, and multithreading
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, IAM
- Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing
- Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CockroachDB is a plus
- Solid understanding of testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Build and test end-to-end data pipelines and APIs to bridge mainframe systems with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and peer developers to deliver technical improvements and platform enhancements
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline development, and testing automation
- Use observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production systems
