Collective Health is transforming how employers and their people engage with their health benefits by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology, compassionate service, and world-class user experience design. The Claims team is developing efficient systems for claims processing, prior authorizations and utilization management, to ensure members receive appropriate care cost-effectively. These systems will integrate with partner solutions to achieve provider payment integrity and accuracy for the healthcare service. Collective Health is building modern health management systems, which enhance the claims engine, using cutting-edge technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java & Spring Cloud, with a good understanding of microservices architecture and Kafka streaming.
- Working experience building UI features using React/Angular with GraphQL.
- Understanding of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf).
- Good experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP preferred).
- Working experience in SQL/PostgreSQL, and developing data-intensive services.
- Nice to have experience in working with Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) like Drools, Kogito etc.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services for the Cost Containment team.
- Develop and support full-stack services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud), integration platforms (Kafka, Mulesoft), and frontend (React/Angular/GraphQL etc.).
- Use AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and actively contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects.
- Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners and our claims engine.
- Collaborate with Lead developers and product managers in building solutions that leverage Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) like Drools etc.
- Understand design decisions and actively drive code development using reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems.

- 5+ years as a Full-Stack engineer.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product managers, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office two days per week.
