BILL is looking to replace outdated financial processes with innovative tools to help businesses make smarter decisions and gain control of their operations. The Spend CX team needs to shape innovative solutions for BILL's internal customer experience and employee-facing applications, building scalable, user-centric systems to support BILL's growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack applications, ideally with React and Elixir (or other functional BE languages like Ruby, Rust, Erlang, etc).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in agile development environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to addressing complex technical challenges.
- Commitment to delivering user-friendly solutions that enable business efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust full-stack features using React (frontend) and Elixir (backend).
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with user and business needs.
- Own the delivery and quality of mission-critical internal applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying technical gaps, proposing solutions, and optimizing existing systems.
- Mentor and support team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, including testing, documentation, and maintainability.
- Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot high-impact issues and proactively prevent recurring problems.
