MSTS is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to support the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) by designing, developing, maintaining, administering, and upgrading GIS systems, processes, data, and products to ensure the security of the United States and its allies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing various paper and digital GIS products.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and use of GIS infrastructure (power, water, roads, etc.) data.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining spatial application products, especially those based on Esri platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS .NET API, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS JavaScript API).
- Knowledge and experience using ESRI product suite, including ArcGIS Pro (and extensions), ArcGIS Field Maps, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Knowledge/proficiency with various field data collection systems (GPS and associated mobile applications).
- Firm understanding of SQL and relational databases (especially MS SQL Server).
- Firm understanding of good data governance and usage principles.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with SMEs, management, consumers, and staff to define and capture GIS data and product requirements.
- Design and develop various types of compelling GIS products for facilities and infrastructure capabilities, including online mapping applications, dashboards, catalogs, interactive timelines, reports, etc.
- Assist in the design, development, implementation, and integration of GIS data models.
- Research, collate, and evaluate infrastructure data from various sources.
- Identify and communicate data gaps or inadequacies; work with team to develop mitigation strategies to address.
- Collect, document, input, verify, and track GIS data and products.
- Maintain a firm understanding of the existing GIS databases, data models, and applications; stay abreast of application and process changes.

- US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s in calculus-based technical (STEM) field plus at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required.
