Requirements
- A high level of human performance research experience in various settings covering both lab and field environments
- Extensive capabilities with data collections tools commonly used in the performance science environment
- Expertise in signal processing, data analysis, and statistical analysis of data collected in both lab and field settings
- Ability to interpret complex data, to communicate, and to provide reports and recommendations visually and effectively
- Maintain knowledge and experience of best uses of leading technologies and procedures being utilized at the elite level
- Experience being a creative scientist (e.g. novel protocols, processing techniques, communications, or applications and translations)
- Ability to analyze and provide an understanding of data collected in both lab and field settings
Responsibilities
- Carry out sports science research in both the lab and field settings that help to identify key performance challenges across a range of athletes and sports.
- Help to create key insights into solution based strategies that could influence footwear, apparel, equipment, digital, and other innovations.
- Engage in projects, with multiple researchers involved, through all phases of the project, with a focus on, execution, data analysis and presentation.
- Analyze and provide an understanding of data collected in both lab and field settings.
- Promote the work and image of the NSRL group externally to the performance science and research community.
- Act as an internal performance expert to provide insight to footwear, apparel, equipment, and digital innovation teams.
- Be a creative scientist (e.g. novel protocols, processing techniques, communications, or applications and translations).
Other
- Will accept any suitable combination of education experience or training
- A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
- Experience working with elite level athletes and/or teams
- Sport- and athlete-related certifications are a plus (such as Strength & Conditioning, Physical Therapy, Sports Dietitics, Sports Psychology, or other athlete related needs)
- Manage relationships and project requirements as defined by internal roadmap for responsibilities
