Bloomberg Media is looking to leverage data to drive business decisions for their Consumer Media Insights team. This involves strategic analytics projects to improve subscription and product performance, staying competitive with the latest analytical techniques, and informing business strategy through data-backed insights.

Requirements

  • Proven technical expertise with SQL and Python (experience writing complex queries and building scalable analysis pipelines).
  • Familiarity with big data platforms and data management tools (BigQuery, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Strong data visualization skills (Mode, Looker, Tableau etc.).
  • Experience with B2C subscription products, acquisition, retention, and payments.
  • Strong background in statistics and advanced analytics, including predictive modeling.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into structured, step-by-step solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced analysis on subscriber acquisition, retention, and engagement, as well as content and competitor performance.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to provide high-quality data requirements for complex SQL or Python pipelines, ensuring a trusted source of truth for key Bloomberg metrics.
  • Partner with product, marketing, data engineering, and finance teams to define KPIs and enable performance reporting on those metrics.
  • Support and unblock junior-level team members with technical and analytical guidance.
  • Monitor industry standards, market shifts, and emerging subscription trends to inform and drive analytical capability.
  • Identify new opportunities for using data across Bloomberg’s subscription and product ecosystem.
  • Clearly, consistently, and broadly communicate insights that inform subscription strategy, product vision, goals, and impact to leadership and across the organization.

Other

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytics or related fields, with a focus on subscription or digital product analytics.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a research-related field (computer science strongly preferred, statistics, mathematics, or similar).
  • Highly effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Salary Range = 135000 - 175000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
