Airbnb is looking to improve the guest and host experience by building and maintaining high-quality products and features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience developing Android applications at scale with a high volume of users
- Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Motion
- Experience optimizing mobile applications (size, battery consumption, data consumption)
- Solid engineering and coding skills
- Understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming
- Experience shipping one or more Android apps, ideally currently available in the Google Play Store
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and deliver high-quality products on Android
- Identify areas of improvement and drive mobile best practices
- Contribute to the Android ecosystem across all of Airbnb
- Be responsible for the technical design, performance and reliability of the cohosting experience, inbox, and other high traffic user surfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product Managers, Experience Designers, and Engineers to design and deliver high-quality products
- Drive alignment with cross functional and cross organization teams
- Work on high visibility key features that are part of bi-annual launches
Other
- Strong collaboration skills with experience driving alignment with cross functional and cross organization teams
- A strong product sense and a passion for Android UI and UX product development
- Ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and show motivation for personal growth
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS
- US - Remote Eligible, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites
