Requirements
- Strong ability to design scalable, secure, performant, and cost-effective automation solutions
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Jenkins DSL, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell
- Experience with IaC and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, HELM)
- Strong knowledge of application/data security best practices
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with vendor management and tool evaluation processes
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation
Responsibilities
- Leads the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions across infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and configuration management domains.
- Develops Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and HELM.
- Automates deployment pipelines and testing processes to reduce manual effort and improve release quality.
- Collaborates with SREs, developers, and enterprise architects to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.
- Participates in vendor engagements to evaluate tools, address issues, and advocate for feature enhancements.
- Documents automation processes and conducts training sessions, workshops, and demos to promote best practices.
- Supports on-call rotations and maintenance windows by automating repetitive tasks and addressing escalations.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing automation and application hosting architectures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
