Fiserv is looking to hire a Senior Java Developer to build the Global Settlement and Reconciliation (GSR) platform, which aims to deliver innovations through simple and fast integrations with multiple systems using developer-friendly standards, unified APIs, a robust technical stack, and a scalable runtime environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development including multiple architectural styles such as microservices, monoliths, event driven.
- 6+ years of experience in Java, OOP, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST API, Swagger, JUnit, JWT, Spring Security, OAuth2.0, Caching.
- 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms (Tanzu, AWS, Azure). Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 4+ years of experience in Microservice development including Config Server, Discovery Server, API Gateway, Feign Client, Rabbit MQ, Apache Kafka, Load Balancing.
- 4+ years of experience in designing secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Working knowledge in authentication, authorization, and sensitive data protection.
- 3+ years of experience in Database technologies Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Index, View, Stored Procedures.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and performance benchmarks.
- Oversee technical debt management, vulnerability remediation, and advocate for sustainable engineering practices.
- Support DevOps initiatives including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native development.

- You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
- You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
