Raytheon is seeking software engineers to support leadership, development, test, and other tasks throughout a software life cycle for aircraft embedded software applications, addressing complex technical system and software integration problems for military and commercial programs.
Requirements
- Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C, Java or closely related software languages.
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment.
- Experience with computer scripting language such as Shell/Perl/Python.
- Experience with designing software systems, integration, and management.
- Embedded Software Architecture Experience on systems using a Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), e.g., Linux, Green Hills (GH) Integrity, VxWorks, or other.
- Ada software development experience.
- Experience in Unix/Linux computing environments.
Responsibilities
- Provides creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
- Work closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
- Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, providing technical assistance to others, participation in reviews, and participation in proposal, design, and process improvement.

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
- Master’s Degree (MS) preferred in a STEM discipline.
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
