The Department of Defense’s Narcotics and Transnational Crime Support Center (NTC) is seeking a Knowledge Manager to align processes, technologies, and analytic workflows to enable efficient collaboration, data accessibility, and analytic production across DoD, law enforcement, and interagency partners.
Requirements
- Knowledge management methodologies, analytic standards, and best practices.
- SharePoint site administration, design, and troubleshooting.
- Extracting, cleansing, normalizing, and visualizing large data sets.
- Developing workflow/process solutions for data access, storage, and retrieval.
- Producing performance and usage metrics for KM systems.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- SharePoint and web application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C/VB.NET).
Responsibilities
- Align processes and technology to enable information sharing among analysts and partner organizations.
- Utilize centralized and peripheral databases, content management, and records management systems to improve workflow efficiency.
- Support development of solutions to extract, normalize, and analyze data from multiple sources; enable analysts to identify correlations, patterns, and trends.
- Implement knowledge management standards, best practices, and methodologies for the NTC community of practice.
- Compile reports on usage metrics, performance data, and future requirements for knowledge management systems.
- Recommend and develop automated approaches and new tools to save analysts time and improve analytic workflows.
- Perform web application software development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C/VB.NET to support knowledge management solutions.
Other
- Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility throughout employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Knowledge Management, Data/Information Science, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. institution.
- 10+ years of professional experience in knowledge management, information systems, or content management, with at least 3 years specifically in enterprise knowledge management or information-sharing solutions.
- Limited telework may be authorized by the Government for certain non-operational tasks or continuity of operations, but all direct operational support must be performed on-site.
