General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) needs to create mission-critical systems that keep people safe by working on groundbreaking technologies and making a real impact. This involves analyzing solution alternatives, recommending technical solutions, performing system integration, testing, and validation, and ensuring systems meet security specifications.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in systems engineering concepts and tools.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and deployment preparation.
  • Extensive knowledge of utilizing automated means for deployment and sustainment of operational systems.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve system design issues.
  • Proficiency in OS and hardware/software troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Ability to apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and address vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with the creation of Ansible Playbooks

Responsibilities

  • Analyze solution alternatives and recommend technical solutions that best meet requirements.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and validation processes for new capabilities and regression use cases.
  • Ensure systems meet security specifications.
  • Manage the integration of system changes and new capabilities through deployment to the production system.
  • Engage in research and data analysis to choose the best standards and tools for system development.
  • Proficiency in OS and hardware/software troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Ability to apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and address vulnerabilities.

Other

  • Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A minimum of an IAT Level II (DoD 8570/8140.01) certification is required at the time of hire: e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, and CCNA-Security.
  • This position is fully on-site at our San Antonio Texas location.
