Samsara is looking to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations by harnessing Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve operations.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in one or more common languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Golang).
- Proficiency with common ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark).
- A working understanding of the algorithms you will bring to life.
- Proven experience with the E2E ML application development.
- Experience leading a small cross-functional team to deliver new ML experiences.
- Experience building zero-to-one ML applications.
- 5+ years experience as an Machine Learning Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar role.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the ML infrastructure that powers batch and real-time models for customer-facing products.
- Lead zero-to-one ML/AI initiatives to develop innovative products from scratch.
- Bridge the gap between ML scientists and engineering teams, enabling the success of cross-functional projects.
- Be a thought leader for ML operations on our team, building out new inference capabilities while enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our existing platform.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
- Develop ML and AI solutions to enhance the safety, efficiency and sustainability of physical operations.
- Work closely with scientists, full-stack, and firmware teams to deliver core infrastructure, services, and optimizations.
Other
- BS or MS in Computer Science or another quantitative field.
- 5+ years experience as an Machine Learning Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar role.
- Ability to work in a remote position, with the company open to candidates residing in the United States.
- Must be able to secure and maintain the legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location, if applicable.
- Must be willing to work in a flexible working model that caters to the diverse needs of our teams.
