Atlassian is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and deployment of AI coding agents for Rovo Dev, aiming to provide intelligent, context-aware assistance to developers directly in their terminals. The goal is to improve developer productivity and enhance agentic AI developer tools.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and deploying AI coding agents.
- Proficiency in building and optimizing LLM and retrieval-based systems.
- Experience with code planning, generation, review, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with end-to-end ML pipelines, including data, experimentation, evaluation, and safety guardrails.
- Knowledge of Atlassian's code intelligence and ecosystem integrations.
- Ability to work with product and engineering teams to deliver features.
- Passion for AI-assisted development and coding with and for AI.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of AI coding agents powering Rovo Dev.
- Build and optimize LLM and retrieval-based systems for code planning, generation, review, and automation.
